Written on a flight from Oklahoma City to Dallas, eventually headed to Philadelphia for a recording session with Jason and Mick. Outlaw country was the idea. “Bloody Mary Morning” was somewhere in the back of the head. Jason drove that feel home with his bass and piano performances. Ryan recorded his part on June 24, with chord changes based on “Good Hearted Woman.” As he remembers it, Adam's lyrics were basically left alone.
